Anti-Bullying Strategies

We have been very busy with our anti bullying campaign so far this year. The year has got off to a great start with an anti-bullying poster competition with some amazing entries from our young people. These will be printed and displayed around the academy to help remind students how to deal with bullies!

We are highlighting anti-bullying week this year by wearing odd socks on Monday 14th to celebrate our differences. Odd socks have been appearing all around the academy raising awareness that bullying is not acceptable.

We are selling Reach out anti-bullying bands for 50p to encourage students to stand against bullying!

We have a special programme of activities for tutor time to reflect on the many issues around bullying, how to deal with it, how it affects everyone around us and even looking into the reasons why someone becomes a bully.

Have a look at some of the clips used:

Bullying does not only affect our students but our parents as well.

The Anti-Bullying Alliance provides some great material that they can access.

We are currently collecting responses of a mental health survey to find out how best we can support our young people and the issues they face.
