To help reiterate how important mental health and well-being is and to promote anti-bullying we have been encouraging students to take part in competitions, positive postcard writing, creating an anti-bullying ballad and taking part in completing a book review after reading one of our well-being books.  

Culture Days are delivered once a term focused on expanding Garforth’s Core Values of Cultural Awareness and Tolerance. Previous Culture Days have included: Wales, Kenya, and Iran. We also deliver the Lead Out Loud assemblies once a term designed around promoting the Protected Characteristics, Modern British Values, and Garforths Core Values in an ever changing world. These assemblies are designed around Garforth’s Core Values of: Compassion, Cultural Awareness, Integrity, Pride, Respect, Responsibility, and Tolerance. Some of our previous Lead Out Louds have focused on Ageism, Homophobia, Sexism, and Racism.
