Design & Technology

Head of Department: Mr. P. Sutcliffe

About Design & Technology

Design and Technology prepares pupils to participate in tomorrow’s rapidly changing technologies. The subject calls for pupils to become autonomous and creative problem solvers, both as individuals and as part of a team. An important feature of Design and Technology is that it makes immediate use of knowledge and skills from other subjects. Through a variety of creative and practical activities, pupils will be taught the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to engage in the process of designing and making.
