Garforth Academy Virtual Tour

Last Friday afternoon Garforth Academy continued its 50th birthday celebrations. A massive thank you to everyone for all the fun, innovation and blasts from the past!

We started with a yummy 1960s lunch in our canteen which was a huge hit with our students and staff alike (especially the pink custard!). During the afternoon our KS3 student experienced a wide variety of different lessons with a 60s theme including…….

  • How Bond posters have changed
  • Singing Beatles songs
  • Exploring the 60s
  • How school days have changed
  • Tardis facts
  • 60s dancing
  • Designing commemorative stamps from the 60s
  • Old coin values

 to name but a few!

Thank you so much from the Garforth 50 team to everyone who got involved – watch this space for the next instalment in the Garforth 50 celebrations!
